If you’re looking for a lighter twist on a classic cookout favorite, these grilled turkey burgers are the perfect addition to your lineup. They’re juicy, flavorful, and packed with lean protein, making them a great option for staying on track with your wellness goals while still enjoying a satisfying meal. Ground turkey is a lower-fat alternative to traditional beef, and when paired with simple seasonings and fresh toppings, it delivers all the flavor you want without feeling heavy.
Ingredients
1 pound lean ground turkey
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
4 whole-grain burger buns
Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, red onion, avocado, mustard or yogurt-based sauce
Instructions
Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped onion, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined, avoid overmixing to keep the burgers tender.
Form the mixture into 4 equal patties, about ½-inch thick.
Lightly oil the grill grates and place the patties on the grill. Cook for about 5–6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the burgers are fully cooked through.
Remove from the grill and let rest for a couple of minutes.
Serve on whole-grain buns with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
